There are times in our lives when we all go through a rough spot and may need to ask for help. Our ministry's goal is to assist those in need, whether it is due to poverty or just a circumstance such as a job loss. Our goal is to help get our neighbor back on track.  We are not licensed social workers. We are volunteers, called Vincentians, that give our time and talents providing community resource information.  We help with rent, utilities, food and other types of assistance.

PLEASE READ ALL STEPS BEFORE BEGINNING THE APPLICATION PROCESS

1. We are able to accept a few applications per week.  Once this number of applications is received, the application process will be closed until the following week.  
2. We require sufficient lead time for our volunteers to review your needs, visit you at your home, and make the decision to help you.  For smaller assistance amounts, this can usually be done in 5 to 7 business days.  For assistance with larger amounts such as rent assistance, 10 to 14 business days lead time is required.  You must make your request allowing sufficient lead time for us to do our work or your request may not be accepted.  
3. NOTE: If you have been previously helped by SVDP, you may be told it is too soon to receive assistance
4. Please see the RESOURCES page for other agencies who may be able to assist you.
